Éire

The majority of my heritage on both sides of my family traces back to Ireland, so this was the trip I'd been looking forward to most. It felt like I was finally seeing the motherland with my own eyes. I explored as much of the island as I could, from the Giant's Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede viewpoint in the north down to Cork in the south. These captures move from Dublin, with St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Guinness Storehouse, and the brutalist Berkeley Library at Trinity College, out to the Jameson distillery, Blarney Castle, and the ancient passage tomb at Newgrange, with plenty of countryside and coastline in between. It's a record of the places my family comes from, seen by a guy just getting to know them for the first time.
