Salmonberry River Trail

Salmonberry River Trail near Tillamook, an abandoned stretch of railroad that winds through the Oregon Coast Range. The shoot was meant as prep for a client's campaign that never took off. The highlight is the long tunnel, shot from its pitch-black entrance to the light opening up on the way out. Along the way there are old rail tankers covered in graffiti, still ponds, empty tracks stretching into the distance — the whole trip had a damp, sleepy melancholy vibe to it. Something like Twin Peaks I suppose. I never found the river.
